The King & Queen Pub Website

The King & Queen Public House
The King & Queen Public House is located in Fitzrovia at the junction of Foley Street and Cleveland Street and is one of only two pubs in the UK to bear that name (the other being in Brighton). The King & Queen is famous for being the venue for Bob Dylan's first ever performance in the UK (an event that Time Out listed in their top ten most important gigs). That was in 1962 and their folk club is still running today.

The owner of the pub, Colin Lea, wanted a modern, professional website to promote the pub, their extensive range of drinks (including 20 different brands of whisky, 15 different brands of bourbon and 20 different types of vodka), their delicious bar menu and their upstairs meeting room. The website works on any size screen, meaning mobile phone users can still view the website.

With slideshows using a combination of photographs of the exterior and interior of the pub itself and more general photos of various drinks, the website has enhanced the way the pub promotes itself. The website is linked to from the many pub guides that the King & Queen is indexed to meaning that in 2015 so far the website has been seen by over 3000 different viewers.

The pub have just added a Twitter feed to further enhance their promotional ability. The Twitter feed gives news about the chef's daily specials as well as promotions, events and guest ales available.
